WEATHERFORD — Jeffrey Maxwell, the Corsicana man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Parker County woman last year has been found guilty.
A jury deliberated 50 minutes Tuesday before finding Maxwell guilty of kidnapping and two counts of aggravated sexual assault. He was charged with abducting the woman, setting her house on fire, then bringing her to his home near Corsicana where she was raped and assaulted repeatedly for nearly two weeks.
The punishment phase of the trial is next. We'll have more from our sister publication in Weatherford later tonight and in the Wednesday print edition of the Daily Sun.
