The Navarro Council of the Arts presents its Annual Youth Art Show at the Warehouse Living Arts Center Gallery. For more information, contact Navarro Council of the Arts at (903) 872-5411.

May 4

The Dresden Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting Saturday,  May 4.  The meeting begins with  a memorial service at the Dresden Methodist Church at 11 a.m.  Following will be a covered dish lunch at 12 noon and a business meeting at 1 p.m.  Your attendance is encouraged and appreciated.

The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the post.  All members and prospective members are invited to attend.  For further information call (903) 874-3936 after 2 p.m. or Like us on Facebook (American Legion Post 22 Johnson-Wiggins).

A Mexican Fiesta Dinner will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church gym from 5 to 8 p.m. Enchiladas, tamales, rice, beans, salad, beverages and dessert will be served for $10/adults and $7 for kids. Anyone in the county is welcome.

 The Navarro College International Justice Mission is holding a Freedom Fest Concert to spread awareness of human trafficking. Music is set to start at 6 p.m. For more information contact: corsicana.freedomfest@gmail.com.  The event is sponsored by Brookshires Grocery Company, Bittersweet Boutique and Navarro College.

The CHS Calicos will host its Spring Show at the CHS Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The show is titled “Emotions in Motion” and is produced by Amy Tidwell, Calico director and Tiffany Wilburn, assistant director. The audience will be treated to a crowd pleasing show that will include award-winning routines from the Calicos’ 2013 San Antonio competition, presentation of Seniors, and the introduction of the 2013-2014 new line members. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Auditorium doors will open at 5:45 p.m.

Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University will begin a new session at Corsicana Word Alive Church located at 600 N 45th Street in Corsicana. The classes will begin Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 6 p.m. Contact Gary Stone at (903) 875-1922 for more information or to register.
