Bugg tops 5K MiniThon

Corsicana — Overcast skies and cool conditions made for a great Derrick Days Oil Town Mini-Thon race Saturday through Community Park.

Participants took part in a 5K run, and a 1-mile fun run/walk, all to raise money for local Lion’s Club charitable work. The event raised almost $9,000 for local charity according to Stuart Smith, club president.

Nathan Bugg was the overall winner of the 5K run, with a time of 19:26 to lead all finishers.
