Corsicana — When Are We Going Home Ministry’s Riding High Horsemanship program will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Break N Free camp at 4719 NE CR 1040 in Rice. This is a free riding program for medically challenged, disabled and special needs children 0-21 and their immediate siblings. Lunch is included. Volunteers are available for front and side walking as well as a ramp for wheelchairs. Please RSVP for lunch to wawahn@gmail.com.

Boys and Girls Club of Navarro County will hold a 2012 Fall Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club, 1000 East G.W. Jackson Ave., Corsicana. Parents with children ages 6 and older are encouraged to attend. There will be free food giveaways, games, raffle items, face painting and much more. The 32nd Annual Piecemakers’ Quilt Show will take place at the Warehouse Living Arts Center, 119 W. Sixth Ave. Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. A quilt will be raffled off as part of the annual show. When Are We Going Home Ministry will hold its annual concert with Cheryl Dunn appearing at the New Beginnings Family Fellowship in Blooming Grove at 5:30 p.m.

The Navarro County Republican Women welcome Rafael Cruz, Father of Ted Cruz, as the special Guest Speaker on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at The Remington, 122 West Third Avenue, Corsicana.  Social hour begins at 11:30 a.m. Lunch and meeting 12 Noon to 1 p.m.  Everyone is invited.  No RSVP is necessary. Lunch is $7 at the door. Mr. Cruz spoke at the U.S. Senate Forum held by the Navarro County Republican Women in April 2012, and he is a powerful and inspirational speaker. We will also be discussing this most important election season and how we can participate.  We must all vote and help encourage others to vote!!
