Dec. 2

Kinsloe House will host “A Dickens Christmas” at 6:30, 618 W. Third Ave. Join us in a celebratino as we begin the 2013 Christmas Season. A beautiful and delightful five-course meal, music, and of course, “A Christmas Carol” to be told. Tickets are $60 per person. Call for tickets/reservations (903) 874-5791.

American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mildred High School, 5475 S. Highway 287 in Corsicana, Texas. Simply call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information.

Piecemakers Quilt Guild will meet at 10 a.m. at Westhill Church of Christ. New business will include the installation of new officers, renewing memberships, and sign ups on committees. Members will enjoy a catered lunch.  All members are asked to bring canned goods for the Food Panty at the church.

Dec. 3

The American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the post. All members and prospective members are invited to attend. The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet At 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce St. in Blooming Grove.  There will be a covered dish meal and all interested people are invited to attend.  For more information call 903-673-2635 or 903-695-2633.

Oak Valley Crime watch welcomes you to attend our Christmas celebration at 6:30 p.m. We will have a potluck style dinner, games, and crime watch. Please bring a white elephant gift and your favorite snack style food and be ready for a fun evening. Everyone is welcome. Event is held at the Oak Valley community center.
