Corsicana — The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the post. All members and prospective members are invited to attend. Navarro County Toy Run will begin at the VFW, 4609 W. Hwy 31. Leave at 11 a.m. and enjoy a scenic country ride that ends back at the VFW. Entry is one new unwrapped toy or $10 per person. Corsicana Police Officers' Wives Auxiliary is hosting a Toy Drive on Dec. 7, 3 to 5:30 p.m. at 201 S. Beaton St.  We will also be collecting coats, blankets, electric heaters and food donations to be donated to local charities. Bring your own cameras for photos with Santa Claus.

Woodmen of the World Lodge 5's Christmas meeting will be at the Lone Star Room of the Kenneth Walker Dining Hall at Navarro College at 6 p.m.  You must RSVP for this catered meal, please call Trudy at 903-874-7050 or the office at 903-872-8468 to give a head count by Dec. 4.  Don't be late.

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 W. Seventh Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28,1961 and May 7,1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5,1964 and May 7,1975. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting. We welcome any Veteran as an associate member who served honorably who does not meet the above criteria.
