Corsicana — A listing of meetings and events of interest from throughout Navarro County

Nov. 6

The Southern Pacific Sunbeam Club will meet at IHOP in Ennis. This will be another day of food, fun and fellowship while plans are discussed for the upcoming holiday activities. The whistle will blow at 11:30 a.m. for all railroaders, both active and retired, for relatives and friends of railroaders, and those who love a train.

The Corsicana Rotary Club will celebrate election day with a reception from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Cook Center. All candidates are invited to the reception tent near the Air Force Fighter. The chili is from a winning contest recipe and the Rotarians will greet you with open arms.

Community National Bank & Trust of Texas is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 321 N. 15th St. in the front parking lot on the Carter BloodCare Bus. For more information or to schedule an appointment time, contact Brenda Stubbs at (903) 654-4514.

The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce St. in Blooming Grove.  All interested people are invited to attend.  For more information, call (903) 695-2724 or (903) 673-2635.

Oak Valley Crime Watch will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Valley Community Center. Crime Watch will furnish chicken and dressing, please bring side dishes for an amazing potluck and fellowship time!

Nov. 7

H-E-B Grocery Store is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 201 S. 15th Street in the front parking lot on the Carter BloodCare Bus. For more information or to schedule an appointment time, contact Christina Clary at (903) 874-4778.

Eureka Crime Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the Eureka United Methodist Church. Special guest will be Precinct 2 County Commissioner Dick Martin. Join your friends and neighbors for this informative meeting and enjoy the fellowship that follows. Refreshments will be served!
