Corsicana — Pelham Homecoming Parade will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on FM 744 in Pelham. The public is invited to come see the Homecoming Parade, and join the community of Pelham for a fun-filled Saturday with King, Queen, food and entertainment. This historical community has so much richness to offer. Come out and experience this great event in Pelham. Sponsored by Brown Chapel AMEC (Pastor Kea). Hangar Dance and Dinner will be held at Corsicana Municipal Airport. Museum Fundraiser to be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013. Hangar Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Catered Barbecue Dinner served from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Music by the Corsicana Swing Orchestra with Master of Ceremonies Sissy Perry. Ticket prices are $22/person advance purchase until Oct 5, after Oct. 5 tickets are $25/person. Oct. 18

Around the World in 80 Bites will be held in the Corsicana High School Commons from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit the CHS Junior/Senior Prom. Tickets may be purchase from any CHS Junior, or you may contact Misty Fletes at mfletes@cisd.org. Tickets are $5 per person.

Oct. 19

Cotton Row Run will take place in conjunction with the Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival beginning with registration at 7 a.m., and shotgun start at 8 a.m. The race will begin and end near the rear entrance of the Kerens Alumni Center. Proceeds from this 5K Fun Run/Walk will go to the Kerens Ex-Students Association. Participants and sponsors are needed. There are several levels of sponsorship. This race is open to all ages, both genders. Awards will be given at 9:15 a.m. on Main Street near the Alumni Center.
