Corley Funeral Home will be hosting Advance Planning Seminars dealing with a variety of key topics for seniors starting at noon on Friday, Oct. 11 at Corsicana’s Kinsloe House.
“It’s important for families to be prepared in case of emergency,” said Ron Smith of Corley Funeral Home. “We see it every day, how families have to cope when they are unprepared. There’s a lost of stress and anxiety compounded by grief and doubt. There’s so much that can be done ahead of time to spare loved ones from needless pain and worry.”
The seminars will feature local financial planner David E. Taylor, CPA, PFS with Raymond James, who will outline five steps to creating a successful financial and estate plan. Most people plan their fall vacations with more detail than they plan their lives. The roadmap to a secure, worry free future all begins with a good plan; one that will achieve your goals and incorporate your values.
Dean Barker, prearrangement specialist with Corley Funeral Home, will explore the question of how advance funeral planning can help protect our loved ones. How can you give them peace of mind on one of the hardest days of their lives?
Beth R. Chapman, funeral director with Corley Funeral Home, will talk about what she has learned after becoming a funeral director, working with families planning a funeral service — from a woman’s view. She will also share personal experiences from the time of her father’s sudden death and offer other perspectives, woman to woman.
Join the staff at Corley Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at the Kinsloe House, 618 W. Third Ave., for a free informative session. There will be a light lunch at noon with program to follow. Please call (972) 875-3891 to reserve your seat and to receive a free packet of take-home materials and information.
