Derrick Days marketplace a ‘sellout’

Arts and Crafts line Beaton Street Saturday

Corsicana — Sling shots and wooden guns, knives and bows, to countless bling and even faux blue wigs, the vendors at Derrick Days brought quite the variety to Beaton Street.

One could donate to the Derrick Days “cause,” or purchase raffle tickets from the Vietnam Veterans of America. Knife enthusiasts had many brands from which to choose, as did anyone in the market for a handbag, tote or blingy T-shirt.

A booth with Indian dream catchers was next to one with brightly colored wigs, and one booth down were homemade candies. There were sweet treats, salsas, and metal yard art. Various businesses such as Northland Communications, Metro PCS, and Ambit Energy had lively, interactive displays, as well.

Dolls and jewelry, sunglasses, hats, hair accessories, cell phone covers, food and more could be had all in one location — Beaton Street.
