The Board of Directors of Kinsloe House will host the “75th Birthday Luncheon” at 12 noon on May 8. President Barbara Watkins, with her committee, will present a nostalgic program with a step back to the year 1938. The 30’s era was a “Decade of Drama,” so come and reminisce with us. Members are urged to wear a hat or gloves or both in keeping with the 30’s era. You will see fashions that would have been worn at Kinsloe, hear the sounds of the era, and celebrate with members as they recall the culmination of a dream of the Women’s Club House that began in 1937.
May 10, 1938 was chosen as the opening day of the clubhouse as it is the birthday anniversary of Mrs. H.E. Kinsloe that had so graciously donated the house to the clubwomen of Navarro County. Since that time-members-individual and/or club, have been able to utilize the House for luncheons, club meetings, receptions, and reunions.
Please call to make your reservations or cancellations by 12 noon on Monday, May 6. Don’t miss out on all the fun members are going to have at this event.
