Corsicana — Believers Outreach Ministries presents a Healing Revival at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Johnson Memorial COGIC, 1700 S. Bus. 45 and T.A. Carroll Ave. Host pastor is Joseph Johnson Sr. and Elect Lady Pearl Johnson. Speaker is Pastor H.B. Horn Jr. of Greater Mt. Calvary, Dallas. Rev. Horn was educated in Corsicana where he graduated from the historical G.W. Jackson High School in 1968. He continued his education and received an AAS degree from Navarro College, then proceeded to the University of North Texas in Denton to acquire his Bachelor of Science degree. He later earned his Masters of Business Administration degree from LeTourneau University in Longview. He currently has hours towards his Doctoral degree from the Trinity College of the Bible Theological Seminary, located in Newburgh, Ind. During his career, Rev. The Reaching Out To You Ministry of Sixth Avenue Baptist Church invites you to its Mother’s Day Special at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 12. Special guest will be Chuck and the Guiding Clouds, Huntsville and The Southern Travelers of Arlington. Guest Evangelist will be Machleann Grant of Streetman, and the Sixth Ave. Mass Choir and Bro. Lone Star Cowboy Church of Navarro County, located at 4495 W. State Hwy. 22, invites all to join us for our Sunday Church Service starting at 10 a.m. We have nursery for babies through age 2 years and activities for 3 and 4 year olds. Children ages 5 through 12 are invited to meet in the children's building for Children's Church. We also have the following activities; Monday Nights at 7 p.m. Mounted shooting and Celebrate Recovery. Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. Mother's Day is very special to all. May everyone honor his or her mother this Sunday by sharing and expressing that special love together. For those who no longer can physically share Mother's Day with your mother, may the day be filled with joyous memories. Regular Sunday morning services will be observed this week at 9:45 a.m. for Sunday School and 10:50 a.m. for Morning Worship. But, the afternoon service will not be held this week to give families more time together. All age groups are encouraged to attend Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Friday at 6 p.m. Friday evenings are set aside for just good fun. Come with your comfortable shoes and be ready to join in for volleyball, table games and etc. There is something for everyone. Grace Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 402 East 14th Ave., Corsicana, will be celebrating its Friends & Family Day on May 26, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. Rev. John Holmes of the Grant Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Palestine will be delivering the message for this occasion. The public is invited to come and celebrate this special day with the Grace Temple family. The Willis Sisters will be in Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in honor of Mother's Day at the Macedonia Baptist Church located on the corner of Ross and Marsh Street in Streetman where Joe D. Hubbard, Sr., serves as Pastor. The public is given a special invitation to come and hear these Women of God minister through song.


Love Chapel Baptist Church located at 400 North Benton Street where David E. Wilson serves as Pastor and Sharron D. Wilson serves as Minister will observe their Mission Annual at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013.  The spoken word will be brought by Pastor Harold Evans, Sr., of the Roane Chapel Full Gospel Church.  Everyone one is cordially invited to attend this service.

Taylor Memorial COGIC will have its Feast of the Seven Tables again from 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11. All you can eat for a donation of $7. You may dine in or take out. Unity Baptist Church will have a Brotherhood Breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 11. Unity Baptist will have a Bake Sale in front of Fred's from 10 to 2 p.m. The Bake Sale is to raise money for Church Camp.  Also we will have our Monthly Sing Night at 6 p.m.

Life in the Word Bible Church, 1408 N. Beaton, where Emma Jessie is pastor, invites you to come and worship with their congregation on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. as they begin teaching on the benefits of Forgiveness. New Bethel Baptist Church, 700 Elm Flat Road, Goodlow, will host an Old Time Revival conducted by The Holy Spirit. It will take place at 7:30 p.m. nightly May 14-17, with Pastor Lelious Johnson of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas, as the guest speaker. Petty’s Chapel Baptist Church, 1300 FM 3041, where Elvin Sikes serves as Pastor would like to invite everyone to our worship services.  Petty’s Chapel Baptist Church is located on Old Roane Road a half mile east of I-45.  Sunday worship begins at 8:30 a.m.  There is a short time of fellowship and Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m.  Wednesday night services begin at 6:30 p.m.  We would also like to invite all women to a special time of fellowship and Bible study.  It is held every second and fourth Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall.  (Light lunch and childcare will be provided.)

Grief Share, sponsored by Northside Baptist Church, meets from 5 to 7 p.m. each Sunday at the Fellowship Center on Forest Lane (across the street from Northside). This is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. Each Grief Share session includes a video seminar and group discussion. Grief Share is a non-denominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.
