Healthy Woman and ‘Y’ Host ‘Fitness Night’

Navarro Regional’s outreach program to offer fitness assessment

Corsicana — It’s time once again for Healthy Woman’s “Fitness Night at the Y”, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. The third annual event is the result of a partnership between Navarro Regional Hospital’s Healthy Woman program and the Corsicana “Y.” Attendees to this free event can receive a fitness assessment with a BMI score, experience fitness classes in “mini-sessions” and see what the “Y” has to offer for personal training, adult group exercise and sports opportunities.

During this event, the “Y” will be offering a special incentive of no joining fee for new members. Door prizes, healthy snacks and t-shirts will be given away as well. Paula Butler, Texas Agri-Life Extension agent, will also be on hand with information about the upcoming Walk Across Texas event as well as the Step up to Scale Down program.

Space is limited so make your reservation quickly. This event is for adults only however childcare is available to attendees.  Please indicate number of children and ages when making your reservation. Healthy Woman features a series of health education events designed to help maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit. Membership is free and includes invitations to upcoming events and classes, information about health, relationships and life issues and a subscription to a monthly e-newsletter.
