Corsicana — Navarro Regional Hospital is consolidating its business office with others in the chain, meaning the loss of nine local jobs, spokeswoman Anna Paul confirmed Monday.
The business office is responsible for billing, managing accounts and insurance paperwork.
A statement from the hospital stated that they're trying to find jobs for the employees who want to stay.
“Last week, we notified nine employees that the functions they are responsible for in our business office would be moved to a shared services center, resulting in their positions being eliminated. However, we are working with employees to identify internal positions and anticipate finding placement for many of them,” the release stated.
“Our employees are valued members of our team, and we are hopeful they will remain here,” it states.
“Providing patients with high quality care is our top priority. This transition will not impact the services provided for our patients. Positions that handle key on-site business responsibilities and face-to-face customer interactions will remain at the hospital.”
