Briar Scruggs memorial fund opened

Corsicana — Briar Shane Scruggs, 19, of Streetman, passed away Aug. 7, 2013 in Jal, New Mexico, in a work-related accident. Scruggs and his fiancée, Cassidy Campbell, were expecting a baby girl in September. He is the son of Melissa Hogan of Kirvin and Shane Scruggs of Corsicana. Briar graduated from Wortham High School and attended Navarro College briefly before taking a job in the oil industry.

Concerned for Briary’s daughter soon to be born and her mother, friends and family have established an account with Community National Bank and Trust.
