James Blair Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will sponsor the United States Constitution Luncheon at 12 noon at the Kinsloe House. Program chairman Suzanne Smith has announced that Chatfield native Robert Jones will be the speaker for the special event. The Thomas Meredith Chapter, Colonial Dames XVII Century, will attend the special United States Constitution Luncheon.

Sept. 21

Corsicana Vendor’s Day will have a Corsicana-Navarro County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting/grand opening at it inaugural show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 801 N. 13th Street (original KMart building) Pegasus Ballroom. This show will house 73 vendors, so make plans now to come out and shop.

Sept. 26

The Corsicana Newcomers' Club will meet at the Kinsloe House at 11 a.m. Come listen to the beautiful sounds of the Bella Voce`Trio while feasting on a great lunch with all your new best friends. The Third Annual Richland Craft and Vendor Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Civic Center at 103 West Main in Richland. All interested vendors should contact Leigh Tidwell at 972-979-9731, or by email at ltidwell74@hotmail.com

Oct. 19

Cotton Row Run will take place in conjunction with the Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival beginning with registration at 7 a.m., and shotgun start at 8 a.m. The race will begin and end near the rear entrance of the Kerens Alumni Center. Proceeds from this 5K Fun Run/Walk will go to the Kerens Ex-Students Association. Participants and sponsors are needed. There are several levels of sponsorship. This race is open to all ages, both genders. Awards will be given at 9:15 a.m. on Main Street near the Alumni Center.
