Corsicana — A listing of meetings and events of interest from throughout Navarro County.

Dec. 11

Kinsloe House will present a program at 11:30 a.m. hosted by the Flower Committee. The program titled “Flutes and Carols” will feature five flutists playing Christmas Carols. The flutists are Christine Thomson, Cheryl Tatum, Kristy Braly, Sylvia Green and Lynda Green. The program will be narrated by Shirley Nussbaum who will give background information about the carols. Reservations or cancellations must be made by noon, Monday, Dec. 9 by calling the Kinsloe House at 903-874-5791 or emailing the Kinsloe House at kinsloehouse @yahoo.com.

The James Blair Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution will have a special Christmas program at the Kinsloe House at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11. The Bell Choir of Sam Houston School will be performing. Hostesses for the event will be Beth Chapman and Mary Lou McKie.

Dec. 12

The Corsicana Newcomers' Club Lunch Bunch will travel to Ennis to enjoy a holiday lunch at Interior Ideas.  Call Pat Schroeder at 903-872-9663 for more information, directions and  reservations.  

Dec. 13

The Corsicana Newcomers' Club will hold its monthly meeting at Kinsloe House at 11 a.m. This meeting is early due to the Christmas Holiday.  Steve Colburn will perform a medley of favorite music and quite probably get us all in the Christmas Spirit! VFW Post 3366 invites all its members and guest out for an evening of karaoke with Country Sue’s Karaoke. Canteen opens at 4 p.m. and karaoke starts at 8 p.m. until closing. Come early to get a good seat. Admission is free. Call 903-872-3811 after 4 p.m. for more information.

Senior Circle Pot Luck has had a change of date. The Senior Circle pot luck will be held on Friday, Dec. 13th in the Hospital classrooms at 11:30 a.m. Contact Connie Beal – 903-654-6892 to reserve your spot.
