Corsicana — Beulah Baptist Church, 814 Martin Luther King Ave., Wortham, invites you to join for “Fill My Cup” at 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013. Pink is the color. Bethel A.M.E. Church and it’s Young People’s Dept. cordially invite you to attend the second annual Youth Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. Special guest speaker will be Bro. Kamar Chambers of Lifeline Fellowship Church where Pastor Rickey Walters serves. Other guests will bring their awesome choirs from Corsicana and Palestine. Refreshments will be served. Sis. Myeshia Ballard is the YPD president, Sis. Brittney Deckard is the YPD director, and Rev. Willie L. Greene Sr. is pastor.

The City Wide Women Convention Quarterly Revival will convene at 7 p.m. nightly Oct. 7-8, 2013 at God's Holy Temple where Elder Eric Grant, Sr., serves as Pastor.  The speaker will be Minister Wanda Dixon Williams of Dallas.  She is a member of  Christ The Kingdom Church and is a graduate of Dallas Baptist and Reedemer Church.  She has been married for 48 years and is the mother of five children and 10 grandchildren.  Everyone is cordially invited to come and hear this woman of God.  Evangelist Mary Jo Dixon serves as president of the City Wide Women Convention.

    A baseball coach at heart, about a year ago Aaron Tidwell began to seriously focus on education administration. He just didn’t think an opportunity would present itself so soon. Mildred Independent School District board members approved the 31-year-old Corsicana native as the high school’s new principal Monday night.

    The Corsicana Police Department executed a raid on an alleged meth house Saturday afternoon, and it was done in about 45 minutes, all but the paperwork.
