Corsicana — Love Chapel Baptist Church located at 400 North Benton Street where David E. Wilson serves as Pastor and Sharron D. Wilson serves as Minister will observe its Sunday School Annual at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013.  Pastor Donne' Watson who serves as Pastor of the New Corner Stone Baptist Church will be the messenger.

God's Holy Temple COGIC, located at 301 East Third Ave. downtown Corsicana  will have its Fifth Sunday Women’s Day Service dedicated to our Leading Lady Jackie Grant at 11 a.m. Guest speaker is First Lady Dorothy Walters of Lifeline Fellowship Church. Mistress Of Ceremony is Evang. Dawn Hawkins of the Potter’s House. Special Testimony from Evang. Clara King of Dangerfield, speaking of how God delivered her from drugs and alcohol. Everyone is invited to come and be a part of this God given service coming from the Praise and worship team — The Gospel Choir, prayer by Minister Carol Burgess, scripture reading by Sis. Joann Jackson, and a special Praise Dance by Sis. Kimiko Roberts. Pastor Eric Grant and Lady Jackie Grant .

Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at Navarro College, in the Lone Star Room at the cafeteria at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. Eureka United Methodist Church located at 8644 S. Hwy 287 will hold its 51st Annual Lord’s Acre Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. A barbecue dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. The BBQ plate will consist of brisket, pinto beans, potato salad, bread, pickles, onions, homemade pies, coffee/tea. Adults will be $8, children 3 years old and under free. The Country Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 12 noon then 4 to 7 p.m. Auction will be at 7:30 p.m., and a drawing for a quilt will be held during the auction.
