Corsicana — Piecemaker’s 33rd Annual Quilt Show is going on now, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today check out the quilter’s garage sale at the Warehouse Living Arts Center. Over 100 quilts from area quilters are on display and raffle tickets are available to win a beautiful handmade quilt . The drawing for the raffle will be held at 12 noon Oct. 25.

The St. Elmo Cemetery Association will hold its annual cake sale and hotdog supper at 6 p.m. The cemetery is supported entirely by donations. If you cannot attend and wish to make a donation, please send it to St. Elmo Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 215, Streetman Texas 75859.

Oct. 14

The Republican Party of Navarro County will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. at Republican headquarters located at 111-B W. Third Ave. in downtown Corsicana. The Corsicana Preservation Foundation (CPF) will present information regarding the Nov. 5 bond election to finance the renovation of the Navarro County Courthouse. In addition, the proposed states constitutional amendments will be discussed. Please join us for a social from 6:30 to 7 p.m., saluting our elected officials. Oct. 18

Around the World in 80 Bites will be held in the Corsicana High School Commons from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit the CHS Junior/Senior Prom. Tickets may be purchase from any CHS Junior, or you may contact Misty Fletes at mfletes@cisd.org. Tickets are $5 per person.

Oct. 19

Cotton Row Run will take place in conjunction with the Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival beginning with registration at 7 a.m., and shotgun start at 8 a.m. The race will begin and end near the rear entrance of the Kerens Alumni Center. Proceeds from this 5K Fun Run/Walk will go to the Kerens Ex-Students Association. Participants and sponsors are needed. There are several levels of sponsorship. This race is open to all ages, both genders. Awards will be given at 9:15 a.m. on Main Street near the Alumni Center.
