Adult ESL classes will be offered at First Baptist Church in Corsicana on Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A nursery is available for infants thru pre-K.

Aug. 30

VFW on West Hwy 31 will host Country Sue Karoake from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. Come out, meet friends, and have a fun evening.

 

Aug. 31

 The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. Sept. 5

Corsicana Community Blood Drive will be held at First United Methodist Church Martin Hall, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Battle of the Badges, Law Enforcement vs. Fire Department means each donor denotes which organization they support, and the one with the most supporters wins. Each donor will receive a free T-shirt. Please call 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule an appointment.

Sept. 7

Johnson-Wiggins American Legion Post 22 of Corsicana will host its Second Annual 9-11 Never Forget Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at the Post, 632 N. Beaton St. The memorial service will honor the victims of the attack on America and the American military service personnel who have died in the war against terrorism while other members of the service continue to fight. There will be a blood drive, the Veterans Tribute Motorcycle (www.veteranstributemotorcycle.com) will be on display, MeMaw’s Misfits wil dance, there wil be a silent auction, several cook-off events, and vendor booths.
