Corsicana — The Hodge-Oaks Plantation in Chatfield is the place for fabulous home decor deals Saturday morning, when Carolyn Westbrook of Carolyn Westbrook Home fame allows a peek inside the world of style and Southern charm in which she dwells.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be great deals on architectural items, garden, furniture, pillows, fabrics and more at this one day sale under the shade trees. The Oaks Plantation is located at 3043 NE CR 1030 in Chatfield.

“We have not had a Summer Market in years, and people are always wanting to know when we’re going to have another,” Westbrook said. “It will be different in that we are cleaning out all of the warehouses and the barn, so there will be lots of deals.

“I know there are a lot of ladies in Corsicana who love fabric, and we will have tons of bolts of it, some for $2 a yard.”

Westbrook was influenced by the chic elegance of New Orleans, the romance of Southern plantation homes, and her travels to France in search of treasures all of which blend to form her own signature style. She now has three branded books on style, and is at work on a new book called “Carolyn Westbrook: A Romance with the French.” “The French Inspired Home” made the Publisher’s Weekly list. Her books are in 33 different countries, and are available on A photo shoot with Westbrook is featured in this month’s “Where Women Create” magazine. Her other books are “Through the French Door,” and “Carolyn Westbrook Home,” which was shot inside the Oaks Plantation home she shares with husband Joe, and where they’ve raised their three children.

The home designer, who specializes in bedding, pillows, lamps and slipcovers, has bath products at Bed, Bath and Beyond, and is licensed by one of the largest top of bed companies in the United States.

“Last time we had a Summer Market out here, we had a big turnout from Corsicana and they really seemed to love it, so we wanted them to know the sale will go on, rain or shine.”
