Oak Valley Crime Watch will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Valley Community Center. Crime Watch will furnish chicken and dressing, please bring side dishes for an amazing potluck and fellowship time!

H-E-B Grocery Store is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 201 S. 15th Street in the front parking lot on the Carter BloodCare Bus. For more information or to schedule an appointment time, contact Christina Clary at (903) 874-4778.

Eureka Crime Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the Eureka United Methodist Church. Special guest will be Precinct 2 County Commissioner Dick Martin. Join your friends and neighbors for this informative meeting and enjoy the fellowship that follows. Refreshments will be served!

ABWA Committee of Kinsloe House will present its program for the year. The program features well-known singers Byron Haynie and Zanada Talley Shoppert in a delightful musical program featuring country and western songs. This program will be fun for all attending Kinsloe House members. The committee members for this organization is headed by Jera O’Neal , chairperson; with Sandra Palmer, Barbara Watkins, Paula Jones, Martha McCarter, Betty Stokes, and Shirley Long. Members are urged to wear their denim or dress casual and come prepared to enjoy some good toe-tapping country music. Reservations or cancellations must be made by 12 noon on Nov 5, 2012 by calling (903) 874-5791.

Senior Covered Dish at the Frost Community Center at 11:30 a.m.  Bring your favorite dish to share and enjoy the fellowship of our communities.

A one day Driver Safety Program will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Navarro Regional Hospital located at 3210 W. Highway 22 in Corsicana. The refresher course is designed for drivers 50 years of age and older, but is open to anyone. The cost of the course is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. All veterans and their spouses can take the course free. Attendees may qualify for reductions in auto-mobile insurance premiums for three years upon completion of the course.
