New Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 1808 W. 10th Ave., Corsicana, would like to invite you to the Licensing Ceremony of Sis. Sharon Gray on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 3 p.m. She will be delivering her first message. We would like for you to come out and hear this inspirational Woman of God, under the careful watch of Pastor D.R. Watson. Everyone is Welcome.

Church in the Park at Fullerton-Garitty Park will celebrate and remember 10 years with an Anniversary Celebration at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 14 (or July 21 in the event of inclement weather). The program will include a time of worship, singing and special music. There will be a recognition time for agencies and individuals who have been blessed by tithes and offerings, as well as a new tree added to the  Prayer Garden in honor of those who have passed on the last 10 years. All are invited, and there will be a lunch provided afterward and the community is invited.

Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. MBC observed Youth Led Sunday last week. All of the positions in the worship services were filled by young people and the morning message was presented by a seminary student. It was great. More Youth Led services will be observed in the future. Next week, July 8, is Summer Camp. All camp goers will meet Saturday, July 6, in the Fellowship Hall for Camp Kick-Off. Sunday services include Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:50 a.m. and Afternoon Worship at 4 p.m. Pastor William Dollar will speak at both services. Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. offer really good Bible studies in a very casual setting for youth and adult alike. Everyone is encouraged to come and be blessed in any or all of these planned events.

Mildred Independent School District board members approved the 31-year-old Corsicana native as the high school’s new principal Monday night.
