Benefit concert planned for Pruets

Family’s home destroyed by fire

Corsicana —

On a hot afternoon in mid-June, Chris and Sarah Pruet stood in the street and watched as flames shot out of their home. In the aftermath of the fire, they were able to salvage a few items, but basically lost everything.

On Sunday, July 14 at noon at The Remington, some friends and family are hosting a benefit concert to help out the Pruets, as well as their two sons, Luke, 18, and Garrett, 12. Chris is a bass player for Tres Medlock, and Sarah works at Copy Center.

“Through the Fire: A Survival Benefit for Pruet Family” will have vendor booths, a silent auction, kids activities, and plenty of great music. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

Scheduled to appear are Blue Healers Band, Stan Farmer, David Harness, Hailey Erin Sellers, Ira Bradford and Bustin Loose, Robert Donahue, Steve Helms, Big Joe Walker, Zac Stokes, Rob Redwine, T-Bone Steanrs, The Victorian Hero, Wesley Pruitt, Taylor Hodak, Chris Miller Band, Tes Medlock Band and Preston Scott, acoustic.

If you wish to donate to this benefit but can’t attend the concert, visit http://www.gofundme.com/3cz6ag.

“This will be a family-friendly event,” said Leslie Chamberland, organizer. “Hope to see you there.”
