Corsicana —

The Corsicana Police Department is investigating two similar “home invasion” robberies over the past three days.

Police Chief Randy Bratton said the two cases — one on Miracle Drive, another on Oakridge — both involved break-ins while residents were in their homes.

“We’re not 100 percent sure, but we do believe they could be related,” Bratton said.

The break-in and robbery on Oakridge took place late Sunday night in the 3200 block. The second break-in occurred Monday afternoon in the 300 block of Miracle Drive.

In both robberies, the victims reported the suspects were two black males brandishing guns who broke into the homes and demanded money, Bratton said.

A victim was assaulted in each invasion — one was hit on the head with a gun, the other struck in the arm.

Bratton said detectives are pursing the investigation of both robberies, and urged anyone with information to contact police at (903) 654-4902.
