The Corsicana City Council will be asked to approve the downtown tax credits for businesses that put money into their buildings in historic downtown when the group meets in regular session at 6 p.m. Tuesday, 200 N. 12th St.
The tax credits allow businesses to be reimbursed for property taxes up to the amount they spent on renovations on their own buildings.
In addition, the council will consider an SUP for 308 N. Beaton for a private club, an oil and gas lease with Means Oil, a zoning change on East 14th for some homes, and the donation of nearly eight acres of land in Corsicana Crossings.
A 5:30 p.m. workshop will brief council members on the oil and gas lease and the SUP.
