NC Theater department seeks props

Corsicana — The Navarro College Department of Theater is preparing to mount a large production on March 23 and 24, and they are asking for your help.

The production is “Clothed in Glory: A Palm Sunday Pageant,” and it will be staged as was done in the Middle Ages, using wagons and platforms outdoors. Also typical to these performances was the use of animals, and in the play, they have a need for one horse to be ridden by the centurion, a donkey to be ridden by Christ as he enters Jerusalem, and sheep for the Nativity scene.

If you have access to any of these animals, and would consider allowing them to be used in the play, please call Dr. Shellie O’Neal at (903) 875-7632 or e-mail shellie.oneal@navarrocollege.edu.

Any animal used in the production will be given appropriate billing in the program.
