Corsicana — Corsicana Police Department

• A suspect was arrested for assault of a cop and resisting arrest just after midnight Friday in the 1300 block of Northwood Boulevard.

• Thieves took the hinges off the gate to get access into Eldorado Chemical sometime between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of North Seventh Street.

• A man reported being threatened by an acquaintance with a gun around 8 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of West Seventh Avenue.



Navarro County Sheriff’s Office

• Volunteer firefighters from Chatfield extinguished a vehicle fire around 4 a.m. Friday on Northeast County Road 3300 near Chatfield.

• A Sony Playstation 3 unit and one remote, a 47-inch television, 14 DVD movies, two jewelry boxes, a gold ring with sapphires and diamonds, a silver ring, and a silver bracelet with onyx stones were stolen Thursday in a home burglary on NW CR 1180 near Corsicana. Total value of the items taken was estimated at about $3,000.
