The Southern Pacific Sunbeam Club will meet at IHOP in Ennis. This will be another day of food, fun and fellowship while plans are discussed for the upcoming holiday activities. The whistle will blow at 11:30 a.m. for all railroaders, both active and retired, for relatives and friends of railroaders, and those who love a train.

The Corsicana Rotary Club will celebrate election day with a reception from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Cook Center. All candidates are invited to the reception tent near the Air Force Fighter. The chili is from a winning contest recipe and the Rotarians will greet you with open arms.

Community National Bank & Trust of Texas is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 321 N. 15th St. in the front parking lot on the Carter BloodCare Bus. For more information or to schedule an appointment time, contact Brenda Stubbs at (903) 654-4514.

Nov. 7

H-E-B Grocery Store is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 201 S. 15th Street in the front parking lot on the Carter BloodCare Bus. For more information or to schedule an appointment time, contact Christina Clary at (903) 874-4778.

Eureka Crime Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the Eureka United Methodist Church. Special guest will be Precinct 2 County Commissioner Dick Martin. Join your friends and neighbors for this informative meeting and enjoy the fellowship that follows. Refreshments will be served!

ABWA Committee of Kinsloe House will present its program for the year. The program features well-known singers Byron Haynie and Zanada Talley Shoppert in a delightful musical program featuring country and western songs. This program will be fun for all attending Kinsloe House members. The committee members for this organization is headed by Jera O’Neal , chairperson; with Sandra Palmer, Barbara Watkins, Paula Jones, Martha McCarter, Betty Stokes, and Shirley Long. Members are urged to wear their denim or dress casual and come prepared to enjoy some good toe-tapping country music.
