Eureka United Methodist Church, 8644 S. Hwy 287, will hold its Lord’s Acre celebration Oct. 6. Barbecue dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. The meal will consist of brisket, pinto beans, potato salad, bread, pickles, onions and homemade pies with coffee or tea. Adult meals are $8, children age 3 and under are free. The country kitchen will be open from 10 a.m. to noon, 4 to 7 p.m., and the auction will be at 7:30 p.m. The drawing for the quilt will be held during the auction.
