Boy Scouts of America will hold “Scouting for Food.” Help Scouts feed the hungry by placing your donation of food items on your doorstep before 10 a.m. A Scout will be by to pick them up that morning. Donations may include canned vegetables, canned soups/juices, canned meats, canned baby formula, canned chili, and boxed helper-style pasta meals.
Mary Peterson Child Care Center is sponsoring a Garage Sale 8 a.m. to 4 pm on Friday, Feb. 14 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. We are accepting donations of clothing, merchandise, tools, furniture, appliances for this Garage Sale and volunteers are welcome. This is a fundraising Garage Sale for Mary Peterson Child Care Center Building Fund. Alzheimer’s Support Group will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Sterling House Assisted Living, 3329 W. Seventh Ave. Sponsored by Family Care of Texas. This support group meets each third Tuesday of the month to improve the quality of life for the patient with Alzheimer’s and their family. This month’s topic is “Stress indicators and stress responses for Alz.” Snacks and door prizes.
