The Inaugural Oil Baron’s Ball will benefit Derrick Days and VOICE. The black tie event will feature fine food, entertainment and dancing. Enjoy the atmosphere in a newly renovated historic downtown building in historic downtown Corsicana. Valet parking available. Reservations required, limited space. Corsicana Palace Theatre, 112 W. Sixth Ave., presents its Derrick Days concert featuring Randy Brown Band at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and $25, and includes concert, dinner and drinks. For more information contact the Palace at (903) 874-7792.

Golf Scramble for the Texas Lions Camp will be held at 1 p.m. at the Battle Lake Golf Course in Mart. Come out and enjoy a fun day while supporting the disabled children's summer camp.  $55 pays the green fees and a cart for the 18 hole scramble with a catered meal under the shade. The Navarro Council of the Arts presents Black Violin, Classical Musicians for all fifth through 12th graders at the Corsicana High School auditorium. Shows will be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. both days. For more information contact the Navarro Council of the Arts at (903) 872-5411.
