Corsicana — June 3

The City Of Blooming Grove will hold its monthly city council meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Blooming Grove City Hall, 200 S. Fordyce, Blooming Grove.

Piecemakers Quilt Guild will meet at the Westhill Church of Christ for refreshments  and gossip from 9:30 a.m. til 10 a.m. After a short business meeting Linda Weeks will present a program on “Embroidery on Quilts.” Members and guests will then be able to browse many, many goodies brought by Melissa Picha, from the Compass Center Shop at her Quilt Retreat Center. All quilters and “wanna-be” quilters are invited. Bring a sack lunch and project to work on and  spend the afternoon at “Sit and Sew.” This is a great opportunity to see current projects of other quilters and get renewed inspirations. We need new projects, new fabrics, new patterns, etc. Call Jan Libal, (903) 874-0831 for more info.
