Corsicana — A listing of meetings and events of interest from throughout Navarro County.

Through Oct. 26

The 32nd Annual Piecemakers’ Quilt Show will take place at the Warehouse Living Arts Center, 119 W. Sixth Ave. Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. A quilt will be raffled off as part of the annual show. Oct. 23

Chili’s will host a give-back night on behalf of Navarro Regional Hospital’s Healthy Woman, and for each meal sold, a portion of the cost will go to cancer research, specifically for breast cancer, in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month. There will be representatives present from Navarro County’s Relay for Life, as well as Healthy Woman.

Oct. 25

Boys and Girls Club of Navarro County will hold a 2012 Fall Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club, 1000 East G.W. Jackson Ave., Corsicana. Parents with children ages 6 and older are encouraged to attend. There will be free food giveaways, games, raffle items, face painting and much more. Navarro County AARP Chapter 4653 will meet at 2 p.m. at Northwest Apartments community room, 1360 N. 13th Ave. The program will be presented by Trena Weidmann, R.Ph., owner of P&S Pharmacy. Nancy McAnally, Sue Sliger, Mellie Howard and Margaret Evans will provide refreshments. The club president, Nora Thomas, urges all members and guests to attend. The Corsicana Apartment Association will have their monthly meeting at the Kinsloe House beginning at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m.  Captain Elmer Tanner of the Navarro County Sheriff’s Department will be discussing safety and security for rental property owners and their tenants.  Reservations need to be made by 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23 by calling Larry Hutson at (903) 654-3653.
