The American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the post. All members and prospective members are invited to attend. The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet At 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce St. in Blooming Grove.  There will be a covered dish meal and all interested people are invited to attend.  For more information call 903-673-2635 or 903-695-2633.

Oak Valley Crime watch welcomes you to attend our Christmas celebration at 6:30 p.m. We will have a potluck style dinner, games, and crime watch. Please bring a white elephant gift and your favorite snack style food and be ready for a fun evening. It's always fun to meet new people and get involved in your community. Everyone is welcome. Event is held at the Oak Valley community center.

The Southern Pacific Sunbeam Club will end the year of 2013 with a meeting at IHOP in Ennis at 11:30 a.m. Mark your calendar, bring a friend, and plan to be there to share railroad stories and upcoming December events.

Dec. 4-8

The Corsicana Children's Company will present “Nutcracker”  Dec. 4-6 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 7-8 at 2:30 p.m.  Tickets are $8 for Adults, $7 for Teens and $6 for Kids 12 and younger.  By adding splendid lyrics to a simplified version of Tchaikovsky's famous score, this unique version of The Nutcracker captures the magic and fantasy of the ballet story without the dancing . Come join in the fun as we see Nutcracker and his gang of helpers travel to the Land of Toys to rescue Princess Pirlipat from the wicked citizens of the Mouse Kingdom.  Also check out our Nutcracker Tea on Dec. 7 from 12 to 2 p.m.  The Tea includes Lunch, tickets to Saturday's show at 2:30, tour of the theater and a special take-home treat. Pictures with Nutcracker and Marie are available for $5.  Tea Tickets are $20 for Adult, $15 for Teens and $10 for Kids 12 and younger.  Deadline to buy tickets to Tea is Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. For tickets and more info call the Warehouse Living Arts Center Box office at 903-872-5421.
