Corsicana — A listing of meetings and events of interest from throughout Navarro County

June 8

The Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force meets at 10:30 a.m. at the Tucker Hardgrave Memorial Hangar at the south end of C. David Campbell Field, the Corsicana Municipal Airport. There will be a staff meeting at 10 a.m. with the general meeting to follow. Prospective members and the public are invited to attend the general meeting.

Angels of Corsicana Troop Support will meet at 9 a.m. at 1020 North Business 45. All are welcome. If anyone has a loved one serving in harm’s way please bring their address to the packing so a gift box can be sent to them. They are asking for donations of one pound cans of coffee, sun screen, bug repellant and wipes. Please bring to the meeting and packing. The Providence Cemetery Association annual meeting will be held at 11 a.m. There will be a picnic lunch, meeting and work session. Guest speaker will be Pastor Daniel Dawson of Second Avenue Baptist Church. If you are not able to attend, please send donations to Patty Toland, 2000 FM 637, Corsicana, TX 75109

City of Corsicana presents “Boots ‘N Brews” in its Second Saturday event series from 4 to 9 p.m. in downtown Corsicana. Activities include microbrew tastings, stick horse rodeo, salsa making competition and pony rides. Visit local merchants, street, and food vendors, and enjoy live music by Byron Haynie and also by Grant Jones and the Pistol Grip Lassos. Free to the public and to vendors. June 9

The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St.,  will host a family style picnic starting at 3 p.m. There will be hamburgers with all the fixings and chips for $4 a plate with children under 5 free. Bring your family out, eat some burgers, play pool or watch TV and have a great time.
