June 10

The Navarro Regional Hospital Teen Volunteer Program begins for the summer. If you have a teenager between the ages 14-18 and they want to learn more about the medical field and earn volunteer hours, the summer program is just right for them. It is a great learning experience. Applications are available at the Front Information Desk of the hospital. For more information call (903) 654-6892.

Woodmen of the World Lodge 5 will have its meeting at 6 p.m. in the Lodge Hall at 200 W. Oak Lawn. All members, their families and guests are cordially invited.

June 11

The Corsicana Emergency Corps., located at 416 South 12th Street in Corsicana, will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The general public is invited to attend. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.  For further information, please call (903) 872-5072.

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West Seventh Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or in any duty location between Aug. 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting.

Cedar Lake Home Health and Hospice sponsors a “Healing through Grief” support group that meets for lunch the second Wednesday of each quarter. Please join us at noon at 625 N. Main and bring a guest. Please RSVP to Patricia or Fran at (903) 874-2646 or for more information, so we’ll know how many for which to prepare.
