Corsicana — The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance invites the public to join in celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 6 p.m. at the Second Mission Baptist Church, 909 S. Fifth St., where Pastor Larry L. Polk Sr. serves as host. “Keep the Dream Alive — A Day On, and Not a Day Off” will be the message brought by Pastor Alfred Cox Jr. of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Great gospel choirs, praise dancing and more will complete the service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Corsicana Art League will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center, 919 W. Park Ave. The program for this month will have a live model to draw, sketch or paint.
Jose Antonio Navarro Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, is scheduled to meet at 2 p.m. in the Nancy Roberts Civic Room at the Corsicana Public Library. The program will be regarding Lamar Heroes Day.
An ALZ Support Group will be held at Sterling House Assisted Living, 3329 W. Seventh Ave. The class will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Snacks will be provided.
