The Thalian Club will once again present the versatile Dave Tanner for their program at Kinsloe House. Dave’s programwill be “American Ends in I Can.” Members may make reservations by calling 903-874-5791 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by June 2.
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post on North Beaton Street. All members are urged to attend.
The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Corsicana’s First United Methodist Church, 320 North 15th Street. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Blooming Grove Crime Watch will be held at the Historical Society at 7 p.m. Corsicana Police chief Randy Bratton will be the guest speaker, and refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited.
Pickett Riding Club is ready to ride. Come out to the Streetman arena on FM 416 starting at 11 a.m. Events are Cloverleaf Barrels, Straightaway Barrels, Poles, Speed, Flag, Potato and Keyhole. Exhibitions are $3, events are $5, and there is a $25 membership per family if you would like to join Pickett Riding Club. Age groups will be 6 and under, 7-9, 10-12, 13-17, and 18 and over. The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the post. All members and prospective members are invited to attend. For further information call 903-874-3938 after 2 p.m. The American Legion Auxiliary will also hold a Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funds are used to support veterans, active military and their families.
