The Annual Author’s Luncheon sponsored by the Kerens Library and Kerens Pioneer Literary Club will be held at 12 noon at the KESA Building. Fish Fry to be held at the Benedictine Monastery of Thien Tam (Heavenly Heart) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The monastery is located at 13055 SE County Road 4271 Kerens, TX 75144, located off Hwy 287 and Monastery Way. The Knights of Columbus will be serving up fried catfish, fresh and hot with all the trimmings, on Friday nights through April 11. Serving starts at 5:30 p.m. in the J.L. Collins Catholic School cafeteria and continues until 8 p.m. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and James L. Collins Catholic School are located at 3000 West Highway 22 in Corsicana. The Navarro County Retired Teachers will meet at 9:45 a.m. At Northwest Apartments Community Center, 1360 Northwest Ave. The program will be presented by Joel Wright of Stilwell Retirement Residence, Waco.
Angels of Corsicana Troop Support will meet at 9 a.m. at 1020 N. Bus. 45. All ages are welcome to come pack. If anyone knows someone serving in harm’s way, please bring the address to the packing so we can send a gift box. We are having a pot luck lunch following the packing. Please bring a dish for the table. We will start pricing and sorting all items for the garage sale to be held May 2 and 3. We wish to thank the Vietnam Vets of Chapter 1009 for a new storage area for our pallets of boxes, which will give us more room to hold the sale and the monthly packings.
