April 13

Relay for Life team Y Inspire will sell tickets for a drawing for six sets of Premier Jewelry at Brookshires from 12:30 to 3 p.m. $1 per ticket or six for $5.



April 14

The Republican Party of Navarro County will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. at Republican Headquarters located at 111-B W. Third Ave. Special guest speakers will be McLennan County Chair Ralph Patterson and wife Cathy, regarding the High School Republican Club (HSRC) auxiliary. April 15

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site open from 2 until 7 p.m. to assist the elderly and low income file their tax returns at the Corsicana YMCA. To schedule an appointment, call  281-682-0928.

Cotton Patch will host a “Give back” night for Navarro County Relay for Life 2014 when a portion of the proceeds will go to Relay for Life. There will also be tickets available for the drawing for the quilt made by Piecemakers Quilt Guild.

April 16

The American Red Cross has scheduled an Emergency Blood Drive in Corsicana from 11:30 a.m. To 4:30 p.m. The drive will take place at the Navarro County Red Cross office at 701 West Second Avenue in Corsicana. All eligible donors are being asked to participate in this emergency appeal.

The Kinsloe House will present Mary Hargraves, President of the Corsicana Better Garden Club. Her program title is “How does your garden grow?” Please call 903-874-5791 to make reservations or cancellations by Monday, April 14 at 12 noon.Members may also email their reservations to thekinsloehouse@gmail.com.



April 17

The Hop Downtown – Annual event sponsored by downtown businesses, the Corsicana Main Street Program, and Corsicana Parks and Recreation. There will be games for the kids, a bounce house, face painting, a drawing for bicycles and Easter baskets, photos in Pocket Park, refreshments, and the Easter Bunny, who will be visiting with children and passing out Easter eggs and goodies. 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. (Weather permitting.)
