Sept. 30-Oct. 25

Piecemaker’s 33rd Annual Quilt Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at the Warehouse Living Arts Center. Over 100 quilts on display from area quilters. Classes will be held occasionally, and raffle tickets are available for purchase for a chance at a beautiful, handmade quilt. WLAC is located at 119 West. Sixth Ave., Corsicana. Oct. 9

The Corsicana Emergency Corps., located at 416 South 12th Street in Corsicana, will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The general public is invited to attend.  Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. For further information, please call (903) 872-5072.

The Kinsloe House Style Show committee headed by Carol Langham will present the Fall Style Show at 12 noon Wednesday, Oct. 9. This show is always one of the highlights of the Fall programs at Kinsloe House. The theme this year is “Fall Fashion is Glowing at Shops in Corsicana.” Participating dress shops are Uniquely Yours, Cassady’s Boutique, and Canterbury Couture. The James Blair Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at the Kinsloe house at 3 p.m. The program will be the Fall Forum presented by Regent Jan Warren. Hostesses for the meeting will be Ellen Adair and Gelene Simpson.

Oct. 10

The Republican Party of Navarro County announces their Republican “Keep Navarro Red” dinner to be held at I.O.O.F. Event Center at 6 p.m. George P. Bush, candidate for Texas Land Commissioner, will be the special guest speaker. Nick Adams, author of the book ‘America: The Greatest Good.’ will provide the introduction. Special music will be sung by Bella Voce. Live and Silent Auctions will be held, featuring items such as spa gift certificates, stadium tours, helicopter hunt, and dinners with our local elected officials. Advanced reservations are required at $50 each, and checks should be made payable to Republican Party Of Navarro County. All proceeds will go toward supporting the local Republican Party candidates and will stay in Navarro County.
