VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. to assist the elderly and low income to file their tax returns at the Kerens Public Library. To schedule an appointment call  281-682-0928.

The American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the post.  All members and prospective members are invited to attend. For further information call 903-874-3938 after 2 p.m.  Like us on Facebook (American Legion Post 22 Johnson-Wiggins). This is a one-time change due to the District 6 meetings at the Ennis American Legion post on April 5 and 6.

Eureka Crime Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Eureka United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Special guest will be Precinct 2 County Commissioner Dick Martin. Join your friends and neighbors for this update on county business. Refreshments will be served.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post on North Beaton Street. All members are urged to attend as there are important business items that must be discussed and decisions made on upcoming projects. Visitors are always welcome.

April 3

“Teaching a New Dog Old Tricks,” a family-friendly comedy, will be performed at 7 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre on the second floor of the Albritton Administration Building on the Corsicana Campus of Navarro College. The performance is free and open to the public.

Blooming Grove Crime Watch will meet at 7 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Historical Society building. Guest speaker will be Judge James Lagomarsino. Light refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome to attend.

United Way of Navarro County is presenting a fundraising Style Show and Expo from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cook Center at Navarro College. Tickets are $20 per person, or a VIP table of 8 is available for $250. The style show will feature fashions from several local merchants, and food samples will be provided from a variety of local restaurants.
