May 7

The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce in Blooming Grove.  The guest speaker will be Frances Carroll Holdeman who will speak of the early days in Blooming Grove.  All interested people are invited to attend.  For more information call (903) 695-2724 or (903) 673-2635.

The Sunbeam Club will meet at the Ennis IHOP at 11:30 a.m. for another great day of fellowship. Make your plans now for this get-together to share good memories of the April reunion. If you are a railroader who is active or retired, if you have a family member who is or was a railroader, if you just love a train you are welcomed to fellowship with this fun-loving group.

H-E-B Grocery Store is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, May 7, from 1 to 6 p.m. at 201 S. 15th Street in the parking lot on the Carter BloodCare bus. For more information or to schedule an appointment time, contact Christina Clary at (903) 874-4778.

Oak Valley Crime Watch will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Valley Community Center. Bring a covered dish and come enjoy good food, fun and fellowship! Everyone is welcome.

The Corsicana Newcomers' Club Lunch Bunch will meet at Bittersweet Boutique at 11:30 a.m. You can't miss this new dining place for scrumptious sandwiches and CUPCAKES!  Call Pat Schroeder at (903) 872-9663 to save you a seat!

Chatfield/Tupelo Neighborhood Crime Watch will meet at 7 p.m. at the Chatfield Community Center. Everyone is invited to come hear Jason Grant, our newly elected county commissioner. Following the program, light refreshments will be served.

Navarro Regional Hospital’s Senior Circle will hold a Pot Luck at the hospital classrooms from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a covered dish of your choice and join in on the fun. Contact Connie Beal to sign up at (903) 654-6892.
