K.E.S.A. is raising money to build a Veterans Memorial in downtown Kerens. K.E.S.A. will host a fish fry to raise money for the Memorial from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adult plates are $8 and kids 10 and under cost $4 per plate. Please come out and support this effort to recognize veterans in Kerens.
Pelham Memorial Day Activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Beautification of Graves (bring flowers). A program will follow with music, poetry, speakers and honoring veterans. This program will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Pelham, and is dedicated in honor of Cecilia Heiskell, Katherine Thomas, Katherline Joiner, Martha Blaine, Theodore Brackens, Faye McBay, Theresa Davis, Velmarie McMullan, Alsa McMullan and Imogene Biggins. There will be a raffle following the program, and lunch will be served at the Pelham Community Center followed by a museum tour and visit. Cemetery dues are $20 per year. Families who have not paid their dues owe $40 at burial. Make all checks payable to The Pelham Cemetery Fund. The association appreciates families purchasing markers to avoid lost graves.
When Are We Going Home Ministry will hold its Spirit Sent Music Ministry at New Beginnings Family Fellowship in Blooming Grove at 6 p.m. with its Annual Luau Party.
