Corsicana — The Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the Tucker Hardgrave Memorial Hangar at the south end of C. David Campbell Field, the Corsicana Municipal Airport.  There will be a staff meeting at 10 a.m. with the general meeting to follow.  Prospective members and the public are invited to attend the general meeting.  The Squadron is preparing for the 15th Annual Corsicana Airsho to be held Saturday, May 11, 2013.

April 14

Kerens Ex-Students Association (KESA) will host Bobcat Bistro from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the KESA building in Kerens. Please join us for Second Sunday lunch and help support KESA scholarship program. On the menu is Chicken Alfredo or German Meat and Potato Casserole, choice of two: fresh broccoli salad, special green beans or carrots; choice of Grandma’s Lemon Poppy Seed Cake or Country Peach Cobbles. All served with rolls, tea or water. A children’s menu is available for kids under 12. Tips are appreciated and will be used for the endeavors of KESA.

 

April 15

The Corsicana Art League will meet at 6 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center. Jo Skewes will present a book review of “How Georgia Became O'Keefe, Lessons on the Art of Living.” Come bring a friend and join with others who are interested the arts. For more info call (903) 519-9082.

The Corsicana Art League will hold an exhibit at the Warehouse Living Arts Theatre Gallery.

April 16

The Corsicana Police Officer’s Wives Auxiliary is teaming up with Cotton Patch Cafe for a fund-raising campaign. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Cotton Patch will donate 10 percent of all sales to benefit CPOWA. All proceeds go directly back into the community thorugh the group’s various service projects.

The Navarro College International Students invites the community to its annual Micronesian Festival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Barracks Bunch Clock Tower Courtyard. Free food will be available for sampling from the Micronesian community and International students, along with live entertainment from Micronesia, the Navarro College Step team, and the International community.
