Navarro College Multimedia Department presents Media Fest 2013, to be held at 10 a.m. at the Cook Center Planetarium at Navarro College. This is a great opportunity to see the best work produced by our multimedia students during the last year. Navarro Regional Senior Circle offers Lunch and Learn in the Navarro Regional Hospital classrooms from 12 to 1 p.m. Subject is “Diabetes: Are you in Control?” Sandra Vernon, RN, CDE and Cheamka Azema, clinical dietician will address the subject of diabetes and how to prevent it, or how to treat it if you are diagnosed. The Shakers and Scrapers Car Club will hold its monthly meeting at VG'z Event Pavilion (301 E. 3rd Ave.) at 6:30 p.m. Shakers and Scrapers is a very diverse group of folks with a common interest of cars and a desire to help local charities and events.
