The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce St. in Blooming Grove. The speaker will be Elmer (Sonny) Boyd who is a retired detective with the Dallas Police Department and was involved in the investigation into the John F. Kennedy assassination on Nov. 22, 1963. Eureka Crime Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the Eureka United Methodist Church. Special guest will be Mildred ISD Superintendent Becky Burns who will provide updates on school programs, etc. The public is invited for this informative meeting and the fellowship which follows. Refreshments will be served.
Blooming Grove Crime Watch will meet at 7 p.m. in the Blooming Grove Historical Society building. Guest speaker will be Jenny Bratton, director of the Child Advocacy Center in Corsicana. Everyone is welcome to attend.
“An Evening of Honor” a musical performance to honor local veterans, will take place at 7 p.m. in the Fannin Elementary School gym and hosted by the Fine Arts Department. The event will feature patriotic music performed by the first, second and third graders, as well as a color guard from the Corsicana High School ROTC. Veterans from Fannin families will be special guests. It is free and open to the public.
