The Corsicana Children's Company will present “Nutcracker” Dec. 4-6 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 7-8 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Adults, $7 for Teens and $10 for Kids 12 and younger. By adding splendid lyrics to a simplified version of Tchaikovsky's famous score, this unique version of The Nutcracker captures the magic and fantasy of the ballet story without the dancing . Come join in the fun as we see Nutcracker and his gang of helpers travel to the Land of Toys to rescue Princess Pirlipat from the wicked citizens of the Mouse Kingdom. Also check out our Nutcracker Tea on Dec. 7 from 12 to 2 p.m. The Tea includes Lunch, tickets to Saturday's show at 2:30, tour of the theater and a special take-home treat. Blooming Grove is having its Christmas parade and celebration beginning with the parade lineup at 10:30 a.m. The theme is an "Old Fashioned Western Christmas." The parade line up is at the high school parking lot. The parade goes through downtown starting at 11 a.m. Park activities will follow including food booths, pictures with Santa, a silent auction and bake sale, carolers and other entertainment, door prizes, and a Santa look alike contest.
